About me
Hi! I'm Tommy Joppich, a graduating senior at the University of Michigan, majoring in UX Design with a minor in Computer Science
I am always excited by the opportunities that UX offers in a world full of creativity. Whether it be a website for researcher data, or an idea for a brand new social media app, I love the chance to explore new avenues and communicate with passionate individuals.
Whether you're just looking for sketches and to see if something is possible, or full high-fidelity designs and to see an idea to the end, I'm happy to explore any type of project work in order to practice and learn!
My Journey
I began college as a Computer Science major, interested in making websites and games with the skills I learned from programming. However, I soon found that my desire for creativity outweighed my skill, and by exploring other avenues I came upon the UX industry. Design offers the opportunity to work in the technology space, while constantly being creative, collaborating with others, and asking questions. I soon became passionate about user experience and, combined with my background in web development, practiced design thinking in my every day life.
Outside of work and school, I find solace in spending time with friends, being outdoors, and listening to music. I also can't imagine a life without travel, and hope to explore the world more as I continue to explore the design world as well.
